Solas is an Irish word meaning ‘light’, or ‘brightness’, and this name was chosen to reflect what Irish dancing is to us – a positive, bright and happy influence running through our lives. This is the foundation of our teaching ethos: we aim to instil in our dancers a love of Irish dancing and culture through adaptive teaching in a supportive environment where every dancer is valued by teachers and students alike, and given the support they need to reach their full potential, whatever their dancing goals.
The Solas School of Irish Dancing was established in 2014.
